Bountiful Cooking: Wholesome Everyday Meals to Nourish You and Your Family (2023)

Agatha Achindu

When Agatha Achindu came to the U.S. from Cameroon, West Africa, for university, she was puzzled by the grocery store aisles filled with canned foods. She began cooking meals with fresh ingredients for her roommate, and after hosting her first community dinner for fifty fellow students, word quickly spread. Fast-forward thirty years, and what began as small dinners and workshops teaching moms how to prepare nutritious meals evolved into a career devoted to helping families live unprocessed lives and eat flavorful, nutrient-dense foods that can prevent chronic diseases and other food-related health issues. Agatha’s dishes are always grounded in the principle she learned from her mother: you are what you eat. Throughout her career, she has promoted this ethos, aiming for every person—regardless of age, background, or location—to thrive without the daily challenges and costs of preventable chronic diseases. Agatha has been on a relentless mission to make families and communities healthier, encouraging a life full of vibrant energy and graceful aging. It’s never too late to start eating food that nourishes our body, mind, and soul.
